About Us

Emma Harper

Emma Harper
’s interest in writing and the writing process solidified during her Freshman Writing Seminar at Princeton University. This experience led to her college-long affair with the Princeton Writing Center, where she worked as a Fellow for two years and a Head Fellow her final year. After graduating in 2008, she moved to Ankara, Turkey to teach English to university students. Currently, she is enrolled in the Center for Middle Eastern Studies MA program at the University of Chicago, where she also tutors in the writing program. When not thinking about writing and all things Ottoman and Turkish, she likes to get out of Hyde Park and explore Chicago.

We met while working at the Princeton Writing Program as writing instructors. We love working one-on-one with people to help them improve their writing and communicate their ideas clearly. We wanted to keep editing and tutoring writing even after we left the Princeton Writing Program.

We have over 10 years of editing and tutoring experience with writers of all ages, abilities, and disciplines. We have worked with high school students to improve their writing (and their grades!), high school seniors preparing application essays for college, university undergraduates, graduate students, and professionals.

We are happy to tailor our services to meet your needs. We can offer anything from intensive, ongoing support for writing assignments to quick, effective editing and proofreading.
